Cardinia Shire Council has entered into an agreement with Golf Services Management to operate and maintain the golf course at Deep Creek Reserve in Pakenham.
Golf Services Management will revitalise and reopen the 18-hole golf course and manage the Deep Creek Reserve Centre, which includes:
- café and bistro
- pro shop and bookable function rooms
- shared spaces for community groups
Cardinia Shire Mayor Councillor Tammy Radford welcomed the new agreement with Golf Services Management.
"We know our community values the golf course at Deep Creek Reserve, that's why we've worked hard to find a new partner to bring golf back to Pakenham", Mayor Radford said.
"We're confident that Golf Services Management will breathe new life into this marvellous course and offer great services for our local community."
Council called for expressions of interest for a new operator in June and has overseen interim maintenance at the golf course since the former club entered voluntary administration.
Under the new agreement, works will be undertaken to return the golf course at Deep Creek Reserve to a playable standard. The golf course and associated buildings used by the community are expected to reopen in phases over the coming weeks.
