The winner for the Goulburn Mulwaree Award will be announced tomorrow morning, at the celebration of the City's 160th Birthday in Belmore Park at 10am.
From the strong pool of nominations, the finalists have been announced as Sonya White, Giovanni (John) Nicastri OAM, Christine Wursten and Margaret Cameron for their extensive service to the community over a number of decades.
Sonya White - Sonya is nominated for her outstanding contribution to the disability sector through her tireless efforts to improve the working standards and conditions of disabled employees in the Goulburn Mulwaree area.
Giovanni (John) Nicastri OAM - Giovanni, or John as he is better known, is nominated for his outstanding service to the community of Marulan through his volunteering work.
Christine Wursten - Christine is nominated for her outstanding service to the community of Tallong through her community and volunteering work.
Margaret Cameron - Margaret is nominated for her outstanding service to the Agriculture Industry through her volunteer role as the longstanding NSW Farmers Association-Goulburn Branch Chairperson.
The Goulburn Mulwaree Award is an initiated by former Mayor Bob Kirk to recognise outstanding service or meritorious achievement by individuals to the community of the Goulburn Mulwaree Local Government Area.
Nominations are accepted throughout the year, with the announcement and presentation of the award held each year in conjunction with Goulburn's birthday.
