The Australian Government continues to invest in local-led projects that are high-impact, with upgraded facilities at the Goulburn Resource Recovery Centre complete and in action.

Officially opened today by Federal Minister for Regional Development and Local Government, Kristy McBain MP - the $572,500 upgrades will increase the facility's production and safety.

Supported by $487,500 from the Australian Government, and $85,000 from the site's operator, Endeavour Industries Goulburn - reducing, reusing and recycling waste in the Goulburn region has never been this good.

The project supported 30 jobs during construction of a Material Recovery Facility, which will expand the variety of materials that can be sorted.

A new baling press has also been installed, allowing for more bales of recycled materials to be produced.

These upgrades will not only improve the region's environment by reducing the waste going to landfill, they will support the facility to continue creating local employment opportunities for people with a disability.
