The Goyder Highway is closed to all traffic this morning after a truck fire at Gulnare.
Emergency services responded to reports of a truck fire on the Goyder Highway, Gulnare.
The drivers managed to remove the rear trailers from the prime mover. Both trailers were fully involved in flames, with the fire spreading to nearby grass.
The fire has been brought under control but is causing thick smoke in the area. Nearby residents are advised to close doors and windows due to the smoke.
The Goyder Highway is currently closed between the Horrocks Highway at Gulnare and RM Williams Way at Spalding.
The highway will remain closed this morning while crews clear the scene and assess any damage to the road surface.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
