Port Campbell residents are invited to come along to the grand opening the new improved Port Campbell foreshore.
"This is a key milestone in the Port Campbell Town Centre Revitalisation Project," Corangamite Shire Mayor Kate Makin said.
"This has been a massive undertaking and is the biggest single project Council has ever done.
"There have been some surprises and holdups along the way so being able to celebrate this achievement ahead of the warmer weather is extra special."
From 5-7 pm, there will be a free barbecue, drinks, popcorn and fairy floss at the museum and play space precinct where there is electricity, lighting, barbecues and the play equipment for the children.
To add to the festive atmosphere, Dazzling Dan will be there to share his art of magic, with astonishing visual illusions.
"We appreciate the community's patience and understanding of the ongoing works to renew the Port Campbell town centre," Cr Makin said.
"To thank you for your support so far and for the final push in the coming months, we want to provide you with a night of fun, food, and good company.
Cr Makin thanked the State and Federal governments for supporting the project.
"This wouldn't have been possible without $6 million from Victorian Government's Regional Infrastructure Fund and $5.6 million from the Commonwealth Government's Building Better Regions Fund.
"Council appreciates this funding to futureproof the town and make it a world class tourism destination and still a great place for the locals to live."
The day kicks off with an official ceremony on the foreshore between 10.30 am and 11.30 am which, will include a Welcome to Country, plaque unveilings and morning tea.
