Granite Island: Search Intensifies for Missing Teen

The search for a missing teenager in the waters off Granite Island has concluded for the night.

Police from the Water Operations Unit, PolAir crews,Surf Rescue, National Parks, Volunteer Marine Rescue and SES members have assisted local patrols and members of the public in their search for the 16-year-old boy that went missing yesterday, Sunday 1 September.

The boy is yet to be located and the search efforts have been impacted by dangerous weather conditions.

The search will resume tomorrow, Tuesday 3 September.
