The 2024-25 Term 4 round of the PALS program has also been announced, with21WA schools sharing$88,608 in grants.

This funding aims to promote and advance reconciliation in WA schools by supporting initiatives that enhance the education and understanding of Aboriginal cultures, achievements and histories.

These initiatives help students, teachers and school communities gain a deeper understanding of the experiences and diversity of Aboriginal people, which is key to recognising our shared histories and unified futures.

Administered by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, the Term 1 2025 round of the PALS program opens 30 January 2025, closing 27 March 2025.

As stated by Aboriginal Affairs Minister Dr Tony Buti:

"More than $177,000 has been made available by the Cook Government to more than 40 schools in the 2024-25 funding rounds to ensure students can deepen their understanding of Aboriginal cultures.

"Gaining a deeper insight into the cultures, achievements and histories of Aboriginal people helps school communities build better relationships with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal community members.

"This is a great funding round outcome, and I look forward to seeing the impact the PALS program continues to have on WA communities."
