Grants Boost Youth Week Activities in Tasmania

Young Tasmanians will get the chance to participate in a circus Olympics, youth rock challenge and skate, scooter and BMX competition as part of Youth Week activities being supported by the Tasmanian Government this year.

Minister for Children and Youth, Roger Jaensch, congratulated the successful applicants for the 2025 Youth Week Tasmania Grants Program, announced today.

"Youth Week provides an important opportunity for young Tasmanians to express their views and ideas, showcase their talents and engage with their local communities," Minister Jaensch said.

"The 2025 theme for Youth Week, which runs from Thursday 10 April to Thursday 17 April, is the empowering slogan of Courage: Stepping out of your comfort zone.

"Sixteen organisations will receive a share of $30,000 to deliver innovative and creative events and activities, that encourage young people to step outside their comfort zone, across all regions of Tasmania.

"These activities help to build the capacity of young people aged 12-25, providing them with practical skills and experiences that will build their confidence and foundations for their future."

Youth Week Tasmania is a celebration of our young people and recognises the value and contributions made by young Tasmanians aged 12-25 within their local communities.
