Applications have been extended for the Tasmanian Government's Multicultural Small Business Grant Program.
Minister for Hospitality and Small Business, Jane Howlett, said the grants were supporting multicultural small businesses to undertake projects that build capability and new skills.
"Applications for grants of between $700 and $5,000 have been extended to 31 March 2025," Minister Howlett said.
"These grants are about more than just business counselling, it's about other practical in business assistance like developing strategic marketing plans and building a website.
"Our Government has always supported Tasmania's diverse multicultural communities and this new grant program is a continuation of that support, specifically targeting small businesses.
"Some of our migrant business owners have overcome great adversity to set up in Tasmania and we want to encourage that and the diversity of cultural experiences they bring to our communities.
"As part of our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future, the Tasmanian Government is delivering opportunities for our small multicultural businesses to grow their businesses, to innovate or diversify."
The program is one of the activities of the Small Business Growth Strategy Implementation Plan supported by peak business bodies.
