Applications are now open for Saving Native Species 'game changers' grants.
Up to $11.5 million is available for threat innovations such as the development of:
- new methods and tools to control invasive species
- vaccinations to mitigate the impact of disease on threatened species
- new technologies to detect contagious diseases in the environment.
The grants aim to deliver positive long-term outcomes for threatened species and biodiversity.
To apply, applicants must have:
- a completed proof of concept
- an identified path to using this innovation for conservation threat abatement.
The grants are funded through the $224.5 million Saving Native Species Program. The program is supporting recovery of our unique plants, animals, and ecological communities.
The threat innovation grants support the implementation of the Threatened Species Action plan.
