Grants Now Open To Support Youth Engagement Projects

  • Applications for WA Youth Engagement Grants Program 2025 now open
  • Two grants streams of up to $5,000 and $10,000 available
  • Grants program supports projects that encourage youth engagement

The Youth Engagement Grants Program is now open, with local governments and community service organisations encouraged to apply to bring their projects to life for 2025.

The grants program will help financially support projects that encourage young people aged 10 to 25 to get involved in their local communities.

Grants up to $5,000 are available for short-term, one-off activities or initiatives. Grants up to $10,000 are available for longer-term, strategic initiatives that include the whole community.

Projects or initiatives that support, inform and build capacity of young people will be prioritised, with a particular focus on developing valuable life skills building financial literacy skills, education and career guidance, or supporting young people to live independently.

Applications should support young people from diverse backgrounds including: culturally and linguistically diverse communities; people with disability; neurodiverse people; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people; Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual and other diverse sex, sexuality and gender (LGBTQIA+); and regional or remote people.

Recipients of the 2024 Youth Engagement Grants included Youth Disability Advocacy Network to deliver the Empowering Young Leaders in Disability leadership program across regional Western Australia, Youth Focus to deliver The Rainbow Ball, and Yorganop Association for a day camp to connect and share culture.

Applications are now open and will close at 2:30pm on Thursday, 26 September 2024.
