Grants Offered for WA Bike Month Participation

  • WA Bike Month grant applications now open
  • Schools, local governments and community organisations are encouraged to apply
  • Up to $75,000 in funding available for a range of projects
  • New schools grant package available to support celebrations

Grant applications for WA Bike Month 2025 are now open.

Local governments, workplaces, schools, bike groups and community organisations are invited to apply for a share in $75,000 to support bike riding events hosted during the celebration month.

The grant categories on offer include:

  • Major - up to $5,000 for large-scale events (between 100 and 500 people) that are open to the public;
  • Local - up to $2,000 for medium-scale events (between 50 and 100 people) that are open to the public; and
  • Minor - up to $750 for small-scale events for a limited audience.

For the first time this year, school bicycle promotion packages to the value of $750 are also available. This includes bundled bike accessory and education packages to enhance school activities.

WA Bike Month is held in October each year and aims to promote and encourage people of all ages and abilities to ride bikes for transport, fun and for a healthier lifestyle.

This State Government initiative is co-funded by the Department of Transport and RAC.
