Part of the footpath along Bass Highway in Grantville will be replaced in coming weeks.
Bass Coast Shire Council is completing this $30,000 project, which will see a 96-metre-long section of footpath replaced, alongside the Bass Highway Service Road, starting from Portview Avenue.
Work has started and is expected to take around four weeks to complete, weather permitting.
The aim of this project is to improve access for pedestrians and a safe connection to existing footpath network.
Appropriate traffic/pedestrian measures will be in place for the duration of the works.
The works will include the use of large plant and machinery and might be noisy at times. Council understands that these works may present an inconvenience to nearby residents and appreciates their patience during these times. The contractor will make every effort to minimise disruptions during construction.
