Police are investigating after a grass fire at Salisbury Heights overnight.
Police and fire crews responded to reports of a fire near the Little Para River, near Queensborough Drive, Salisbury Heights about 10.45pm on Friday 8 January. The fire was burning well through rugged terrain.
CFS and MFS crews managed to contain the fire with no threat to significant property. There were no reported injuries. The fire burnt about 20 hectares of scrubland.
Firefighters remain on the scene this morning to prevent and detect any flare-ups.
Crime scene investigators attended the scene this morning to try to determine the cause of the fire.
