Sport Australia Hall of Fame member Greg Norman AO is being nominated as an independent director on the Board of the Brisbane Organising Committee for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games (OCOG).
Mr Norman AO is a two-time British Open Champion and the most successful golfer in Australian history.
He is also a highly successful businessman across multiple sectors including real estate, golf course design and events, and hospitality ventures.
Mr Norman is the Albanese Government's appointee to replace Member for Moreton Graham Perrett, who will leave his role on the board as he's retiring from politics at the Federal election.
Mr Norman held the number one ranking in golf for 331 weeks and is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame.
The Brisbane OCOG's next meeting is April 5.
