Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Gregory Smyth.
The 67-year-old is wanted on warrant for failing to appear at court for assault-related matters.
He is known to frequent the St Kilda area.
Investigators have released an image of Smyth in the hope someone may have information on his current whereabouts.
Smyth is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 180cm tall, with a thin build, grey hair, brown eyes and a beard.
