Detectives from Townsville's Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a man with grievous bodily harm following an incident in Vincent this weekend.
Emergency services were called to a Dalrymple Service Road property just before 1.30pm on Saturday, October 19, to reports a 41-year-old woman had sustained serious injuries.
She was transported to Townsville University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police declared a crime scene at the property where they took a 42-year-old Vincent man into custody.
He has been charged with grievous bodily harm (domestic violence), and is due to appear at Townsville Magistrates Court on Monday, October 21.
Police are continuing to provide support to the family of the 41-year-old woman who have requested privacy at this time.
Witnesses, or anyone with information or relevant footage, are urged to contact police.
