Grievous Bodily Harm Charges At Ipswich

A man has been charged following an alleged stabbing in Ipswich overnight, December 23.

At approximately 12.35am, there was a physical altercation between two men at a Bergin Street address in Booval.

One of the men sustained a stab wound to his abdomen and arm during the altercation.

Both parties are believed to be known to each other.

The victim, a 58-year-old Alexandra Hills man, was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A 40-year-old Booval man has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court today.
