Grievous Bodily Harm, Vale View

Detectives from Toowoomba's Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a man with grievous bodily harm following an incident in Vale View on April 3.

Emergency services were called to a Shepperd Road property at approximately 8.50pm on April 3 to reports of an alleged assault involving people known to each other.

A 66-year-old man was transported to Toowoomba Base Hospital with extensive facial injuries.

Police declared a crime scene at the property where they took a 36-year-old man into custody. He has been charged with grievous bodily harm.

The 36-year-old man has been remanded into custody and is due to next appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on May 30.
