Griffith Celebrates Authentic Italian Culture

The 2024 'A Taste of Italy Griffith' events kick off this week from Monday 19th, running until Sunday 25th August. This vibrant marketing and events campaign showcases Griffith's rich Italian heritage with a week full of authentic Italian inspired events and experiences for young and old to enjoy!

"This campaign is always extremely well supported by our local businesses and event organisers and of course the many visitors that travel to Griffith to experience so many of the offerings. It's so lovely to see many of the retailers along Banna Avenue getting into the spirit by decorating their shopfronts knowing an influx of visitors will be in town, and the accommodation houses are starting to fill up. These are just some of the key ingredients to the success that 'A Taste of Italy Griffith' is", said Tourism Manager Mirella Guidolin.

The calendar of events that 'A Taste of Italy Griffith' includes range from tasting experiences at our many cellar doors, cooking classes, walking tours, the Banna Avenue sidewalk sale, lively Italian festas, dinner dances, long lunches, the Italian festival, a salami festival, farm tours, antipasti at an Italian deli, a stroll through the Italian museum and more. Simply taste your way around Griffith and indulge in traditional Italian delicacies like pizza, pasta, gelati, coffee, and cannoli, just to name a few.

Events cater to all ages and interests, and many events require bookings, so please be sure to secure your tickets early as they are limited and selling quickly. Keep an eye out for the 'A Taste of Italy Griffith' coasters around town. Simply scan the QR code and complete the survey for your chance to win a $500 fuel voucher.
