An investigation is underway following a public place shooting and a car fire overnight.
About 2.14am today (Wednesday 16 April 2025) emergency services were called to Faulds Road, Guildford West, following reports of a shooting.
Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command attended and found several shots had been fired into a house.
No injuries were reported.
Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A short time later, about 2.50am, emergency services were called to Birmingham Avenue, Villawood, following reports of a car fire.
Fire and Rescue NSW crews extinguished the blaze; however, the vehicle was destroyed.
Police are investigating whether the two incidents are linked.
