Melbourne-based Carinspect has announced its new partnership with The Market Limited (ASX:MKT) Gumtree Group in a bid to take the unknown out of buying second-hand vehicles, with fully qualified mechanics performing hassle free pre-purchase inspections.
The partnership, which will initially roll out in WA before expanding to NSW and VIC over three months, allows Gumtree customers to easily verify the condition of a vehicle they intend on buying.
Co-founder of Carinspect, Zasch Weiler said that teaming up with Gumtree is a great boost for Australia's used-car buying community, who can now shop with the confidence and essential insights every used-car buyer deserves to have.

The fast-growing platform offers a full suite of car buying support services for its customers. These include CarHistory vehicle reports, used car extended warranties, interstate car transport and financial services.
The industry of used-car sales in Australia is worth $39.9 billion, with inspection and ancillary services making up $800 million of this figure. After completing inspections for well over 10,000 used car buyers, Carinspect is poised to grow its influence with new access to Gumtree customers.
Boasting the largest pre-purchase inspection network in the country, Carinspect engages over 100 fully vetted and qualified mechanics nationally on both a contractual and permanent basis.
MKT CEO and Gumtree Group Managing Director Tommy Logtenberg said that Gumtree already sees an average of 20,000 to 25,000 private car listings each month.
"Through Carinspect's industry leading tech, buyers can book in pre-purchase inspections quickly and easily, with the car inspection report arriving in their inbox instantly after the inspection has been completed," Tommy said.
"Car buyers will be able to link off to Carinspect's online booking tool via the private seller's car listing on Gumtree Cars."
The partnership is part of a wider plan being implemented by MKT to enhance customer experiences.

This announcement will come as welcome news to Gumtree customers who purchase used cars via the popular classifieds website. Additionally for MKT shareholders it establishes further revenue opportunities, contributing to greater shareholder value.
Gumtree users can access Carinspect services from the 19th of June.
