Experience the vibrant culture of the Philippines at the Hala Bira Festival this weekend.
Dancing and music will take over Fort Hill Parklands at the Darwin Waterfront on Saturday 13 July, when the Filipino community comes together to celebrate culture and their contribution to the Northern Territory.
The family-friendly festival will include performances by international singing sensations Daryl Ong and Bugoy Drilon.
Plenty of Filipino food will be on sale for purchase including laksa. Attendees will also be able to watch the lumpia (a type of spring roll) eating competition. The evening will also include an arnis demonstration, which is Filipino martial arts.
The Hala Bira Festival is run by the Filipino-Australian Association of the NT and supported by the Northern Territory Government through Northern Territory Major Events Company's Event Funding Program.
