Queensland Rail is thrilled to bring back half-price tickets onboard the Bundaberg Tilt Train to get Wide Bay residents to and from this year's Ekka.
Queensland Rail Head of Regional Scott Cornish said for 160 years Queensland Rail had proudly connected regional communities by rail and this was the perfect opportunity to create new memories and connections while celebrating all things Queensland.
"The Ekka is a much-loved Queensland tradition, and we want to make sure our Wide Bay communities have the opportunity to experience everything it has to offer - from the animals and exhibitions to the rides, strawberry sundaes, showbags, and fireworks," Mr Cornish said.
"With half-price rail fares, comfortable seating, air-conditioning, onboard catering and free Wi-Fi, the Tilt Train is one of the best ways to travel to Brisbane without the hassle of traffic or parking.
"We encourage Queenslanders to make the most of the action-packed event with discounted fares available on both same and different day returns.
"The upgraded Exhibition station features improved access with new lifts, a new entry plaza, upgraded wayfinding signage and new hearing aid loops.
"Seats on our Tilt Train are limited - don't miss this chance to experience the Ekka for half the fare and double the fun."
