Hamilton has successfully attracted the Australian Blackball National Pool Championships to Hamilton for eight days of intensive competition. The event is scheduled to take place 15 - 22 May 2021.
The championships will see around 300 leading pool players from all over Australia competing in the Hamilton Exhibition and Conference Centre, showcasing their skills to live spectators and a worldwide live-streaming audience.
Although qualification for the event is still to take place, the field is likely to include some of Australia's top pool players.
Players will compete across eight different sections: Men's, Ladies', Seniors', Masters' and the newly introduced sections for 2021, which will include Under 23, Under 18, learning difficulties and wheelchair sections.
Southern Grampians Shire Council is proud to support this event via its events attraction program, and looks forward to welcoming the Australian Blackball International Federation and its players to the Greater Hamilton region.
