A collision in Hampton East earlier this month has turned fatal.
It's believed a female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Nepean Highway on 1 December just before 8.30pm.
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene to assist, and the 27-year-old woman was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The Narre Warren South woman has since died in hospital.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are being investigated.
