Hang up on expensive mobile phone plans with new Vodafone EOFY sales

Thursday, 8 June 2023 - Vodafone is unleashing a huge range of end-of-financial-year deals following the release of new, national research[1] revealing almost 30 per cent of Australians don't think their mobile plan is good value for money.

According to the new data, more than 30 per cent of Australians are forking out $70 or more a month on high-priced mobile plans despite a hunger among consumers for greater value and data inclusions than what they currently receive today.

The research shows that while almost 30 per cent of Australians think their mobile plan does not provide good value for money, a whopping 45 per cent have not switched mobile phone provider in five years or more.

"With end-of-financial-year sales around the corner, now is the time to hang up on expensive mobile plans and switch to Vodafone," said Arthur Panos, General Manager Mobile Products, Vodafone Australia.

"At Vodafone, you don't need to break the bank to get great value and service for your mobile and internet needs. Our simple, SIM-only plans start at $45 per month so our customers can save and spend their cash where they need it most."

When it comes to switching plans, the research showed 3 in 10 Australians would switch for a plan that was cheaper and had the same monthly data, while almost a quarter of respondents would change provider for a cheaper plan that had more monthly download data.

According to the research, late fees are hitting Australians' hip-pockets with one in five saying they have missed a payment on their mobile phone plan in the last 12 months.
