As we welcome the New Year, I want to take a moment to personally thank everyone who contributed to a safe and enjoyable New Year's Eve across the Northern Territory.
To our police officers and first responders, your commitment to serving our community, especially on nights like last night, does not go unnoticed.
You worked tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone celebrating, and I couldn't be prouder of the work you do.
I'd also like to extend my gratitude to the additional security personnel who played an important role in keeping our celebrations safe. Your support is invaluable.
Finally, a big thank you to all Territorians who rang in the New Year with respect, joy, and care for one another. It's your cooperation that allows events like these to be enjoyable for everyone.
