Police are appealing for information to help identify two people involved in a spate of thefts from a hardware store in the Lockyer Valley in the lead up to Christmas last year.
On six separate occasions between December 11 and December 24, 2024, it is alleged a man stole a range of tools, from the Plainland business on the Warrego Highway.
It is alleged on December 11, the man concealed a socket set inside a larger boxed item before proceeding to the checkout and only paying for the boxed item.
During the second incident on December 18, it is alleged the man concealed a soldering set inside his clothing before leaving the store without paying.
It is further alleged the man returned to the store on December 20, 21, 22 and 24 and on each occasion concealed tools inside a larger boxed item before proceeding to the checkout and only paying for the boxed item.
The man is described as Caucasian, aged in his 30s, with a proportionate build, brown hair and beard and a large distinctive tattoo on his right leg.
It is believed he is driving a white utility vehicle.
Police are also appealing for additional information to help identify a woman who was seen accompanying the man on two separate occasions on December 22 and December 24.
The woman is described as Caucasian, aged in her 30s with a larger build and blonde hair.
