The Geographical Names Board is calling for community feedback on a proposal by Forestry Corporation to name a flora reserve in Coffs Harbour Local Government Area (LGA).
Chair of the Geographical Names Board Narelle Underwood said feedback is being sought on the proposal to name a reserve which encompasses part of Boambee State Forest and Tuckers Nob State Forest and is in the localities of Boambee and Bonville. The proposed name is Yuraarla Flora Reserve.
Yuraarla means 'place of food' from the local Aboriginal language group Gumbaynggirr.
Mrs Underwood said the board is encouraging community
