The NSW Rural Fire Service will undertake a hazard reduction burn at Old Wyee Road Morisset on Saturday 22 July, weather permitting.
The burn will commence at 9am and is expected be completed around 7pm.
Residents nearby should:
- Keep doors and windows closed to prevent smoke from entering homes
- Keep outdoor furniture under cover to prevent ember burns
- Ensure pets have a protected area
- Retract pool covers to prevent ember damage
- Remove washing from clotheslines
- When driving slow down, keep windows up and turn headlights on
- If you have asthma or a lung condition, reduce outdoor activities. If smoke levels are high and if shortness of breath or coughing develops, take your reliever medicine or seek medical advice.
