The City of Stonnington will host a Healing Ceremony with Traditional Custodians, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation, following the Citizenship Ceremony on Friday, 26 January 2024.
The ceremony includes:
- Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony and speech by Wurundjeri Elder, Aunty Diane Kerr
- Performances by Nhanbu Togip dance troupe and Ngiyampaa man First Nations singer-songwriter, Pirritu (Brett Lee).
The ceremony supports Council's Reconciliation journey and is an opportunity for the community to learn about what the day means to Traditional Custodians.
