As you may be aware the Naroo Aged Care facility in Warialda has recently detected several COVID cases who have mild to moderate flu like symptoms. Whilst this is very disappointing, it the first outbreak since the start of the pandemic nearly 3 years ago.
Council would like to assure the community that Naroo staff are doing their utmost to keep residents as safe as possible and are closely following the Naroo Outbreak Management Plan which has been developed in consultation with the Public Health Unit and strictly adhere to the Charter of Aged Care Rights.
Naroo staff understand your concern for loved ones and will endeavor to keep family members up to date as much as possible. However, staffing is limited with a number of employees also infected with COVID.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time and ask you to be kind to our staff who are working above and beyond to achieve the best outcome for all residents.
