The incoming Secretary for the Department of Premier and Cabinet, Kathrine Morgan-Wicks PSM has been a profound contributor to Tasmania.
Minister for Health, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Guy Barnett, has thanked her for her service to the Department of Health.
"Dedicating yourself to the often-strenuous life of public service is an admirable thing," Minister Barnett said.
"These departments often oversee multi-billion-dollar budgets and hundreds if not thousands of staff. In Tasmania one of the biggest is the Department of Health.
"Ms Morgan-Wicks has served as Secretary for the Department of Health since 2019 in exemplary fashion.
"She was also the cool, calm and collected State Health Commander during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she was instrumental in forming Tasmania's approach to this unprecedented event.
"She is a stellar choice for this job – and I want to sincerely thank her for the role she has played at the helm of Tasmania's health system and congratulate her deeply on her appointment to this pivotal new role."
