While the threat of heavy rain in New South Wales has eased, intermittent showers will continue for today and possibly into next week.
Major flooding is continuing along the Lower Hunter, Hawkesbury-Nepean and Macquarie rivers and Wollombi Brook and Tuggerah Lake.
The risk of landslips, trees toppling and flash flooding continues following the persistent heavy rain of the past few days across multiple catchments.
Hazardous surf and marine wind warnings remain current for parts of the New South Wales coast.
