The Australian Trucking Association and Cummins South Pacific have today opened nominations for their annual Technology and Maintenance Conference scholarships.
Awarded to three apprentice or full heavy vehicle service technicians, the annual scholarships provide a once in a lifetime opportunity for 18-24 year old truck industry technical professionals to be mentored and hosted at the ATA's Technology and Maintenance Conference in Melbourne.
Sponsored by Cummins South Pacific since 2013, the scholarships inspire and reward promising technical professionals across truck technology and maintenance roles.
ATA Chair Mark Parry said, "We are grateful to Cummins for supporting this award. The scholarships help provide young service technicians with the experience and tools needed to grow their industry skills and knowledge"
"The scholarship winners will get to participate in educational sessions and practical workshops relevant to their training and career, while expanding professional networks with a range of truck technology, service and maintenance professionals.
"Each winner will also be paired with an experienced industry mentor from Cummins for support and assistance in making the most of their conference experience," Mr Parry said.
The full scholarship package consists of-
- Full registration to the 2024 Technology and Maintenance Conference including social events and VIP seating at the Castrol Awards Dinner
- Return airfares and accommodation (if relevant)

- An assigned TMC conference mentor.
