Every day, our residents and visitors head outside to one of our many trails. No matter the season, you'll meet children on scooters, babies in prams, dogs on leads, walking groups, runners and bike riders.
For many years, our community has been telling us they dream of a connected trail network across the Mornington Peninsula. Now, we are ready to turn that dream into reality by connecting the missing links and build the Peninsula Trail.
A trail without missing links will bring benefits that go beyond active living. While much of the proposed 130km Peninsula Trail network exists, joining the gaps will connect townships and provide economic and tourism opportunities for local communities and the wider region.
The missing links are:
- Mornington to Moorooduc
- Somerville to Baxter
- Anthony's Nose
- Whitecliffs, Rye
- Blairgowrie Yacht Club
- Hughes Road
- Merricks to Balnarring
- Balnarring to Bittern
- Safety Beach to Mount Martha
- Red Hill to Arthurs Seat
- Arthurs Seat to Point Nepean Road.
