Join Planet Ark to help change student perceptions about waste and develop lasting recycling habits with the Schools Recycle Right Challenge.
The Schools Recycle Right Challenge, Monday, October 3 to Friday, November 11 2022, is an opportunity for students and teachers to learn crucial lessons at school about waste management and how to take action at school, with their families and in their communities.
Fun activities and over 60 free curriculum-aligned lesson plans are available for registered schools. Designed for students from early learning to Year 12, the lessons educate students on their role in caring for the planet and the value of managing precious resources.
"These lessons are designed to drive awareness around the theme for Planet Ark's National Recycling Week this year running in November, Waste isn't Waste until it's Wasted," said Alejandra Laclette Planet Ark Senior Recycling Campaigns Manager.
"Educators can use our Getting Started Guide to help them organise an exciting event or lesson to engage students," Laclette explained.
"Schools can even go into the running to win a personal visit from a Planet Ark expert."
Planet Ark will also deliver two free online webinars for Australian schools (18 and 26 October) where students get the chance to ask us their recycling questions.
