Police are continuing to investigate a serious crash on the Bass Highway at Heybridge yesterday.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene about 2.45pm Sunday after reports a motorycle had lost control and crashed.
The rider, a 74 year old Ulverstone man, received serious injuries as a result of the crash and was flown to Royal Hobart Hospital.
One west bound lane of the Bass Highway was temporarily closd while emergency services cleared the scene.
Initial investigations indicate that drugs, alcohol and speed were not factors in the crash.
Police would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the motorcycle in the area around the time of the crash.
