A Dodges Ferry man has been charged with drink driving after he narrowly missed crashing into an oncoming truck this morning.
The man returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.136% and had veered to the wrong side of the road where the driver of an oncoming truck was forced to take evasive action to avoid a collision.
Tasmania Police thank motorists at the scene for their prompt action preventing the driver from continuing to be a further danger to himself and other road users.
The driver will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court in September.
Anyone who witnessed the white Ford Falcon station wagon travelling between Orford and Runnymede this morning or has dashcam footage is asked to contact Sorell Police on 131444 and quote OR# 43-02082023.
