A man has been arrested for a number of alleged traffic offences at Glynde early this morning.
Just after 12.15am, Monday 21 June, police attempted to a black Skoda station wagon on Payneham Road. The driver failed to stop and switched off his headlights for a short distance before stopping.
The driver a 44-year-old man from Davoren Park submitted to an alco test and returned a positive result. He was directed to take nothing by mouth but refused and began smoking a cigarette.
When patrols attempted to arrested the driver he resisted. He was taken to the police station for a breath analysis and returned a reading of 0.293. He lost his licence on the spot for twelve months and his car was impounded for 28 days.
The man was charged with numerous traffic offences including drink driving, disobey reasonable direction and failing to stop. He has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 20 August.
