Rockhampton Police continue to target high risk priority domestic and family violence offenders throughout the Capricornia District, charging a 25-year-old Mount Morgan man earlier this month.
Police will allege the man became aggressive and threatened a woman around 11.30am on Sunday, September 1, before running from the property to a nearby park.
Around 1pm, Rockhampton detectives, with the assistance of Rockhampton's Dog Squad, tracked down and located the man in a park before he was taken into custody.
The man was charged with one count each of wilful damage (domestic violence offence) and contravention of a domestic violence order.
Officer in Charge of Capricornia District Vulnerable Persons Unit Senior Sergeant Ben Wiltshire said officers are committed to tracking down and investigating priority offenders in Central Queensland communities.
"Violence in any form will not be tolerated. Our Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) High Risk Team will do everything they can to ensure victims receive the support and protection they need, and that we investigate and charge every one of these offenders."
"Our officers are dedicated to empowering victims to come forward, and we urge anyone who sees or hears acts of DFV to come forward to police immediately."
