Dutton Park detectives have charged a man after investigating alleged sexual offences which occurred more than twenty years ago.
Police will allege the offences were committed against two teenage boys, who were cadets, by an officer supervising them at various times between 1998 and 2002.
The alleged offences occurred at locations across the Ipswich and South Brisbane areas by the man, who was in his mid-twenties at the time.
A 46-year-old Westbrook man has been charged with four offences – one count of rape, two counts of sexual assault and other sexual-related offences.
He was granted police bail and is due to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on February 8.
Investigations by officers from Dutton Park Criminal Investigation Branch continue with police appealing for anyone with information which could assist the investigation to contact police.
The boys are not related.
