HKCRISPR25: Genome Editing & Clinical Apps Workshop

The Workshop on Genome Editing Tool Developments and Clinical Applications (#HKCRISPR25) was successfully held at the Hong Kong Science Park in April 2025.

The workshop was organised by Ming Wai Lau Centre of Reparative Medicine at Karolinska Institutet, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, Department of Biomedical Sciences, and Institute of Digital Medicine at City University of Hong Kong, as well as industrial co-sponsors GenEditBio and Medikonia.

Internationally renowned and highly active scholars in the field of genome editing from Mainland China, Korea, Saudi Arabia, the United States and Sweden joined forces with local genome editing researchers to share their groundbreaking research findings, discoveries, and innovations, as well as clinical developments.

The event featured 17 invited lectures and over 100 participants engaged in lively discussions about the latest advancements and exchanging ideas and insights on genome editing technology and clinical applications. The workshop was filled with strong enthusiasm for the future development of genome editing technology into therapeutics for human diseases. With
