Non-executive directors are senior figures from outside government, appointed to provide challenge to departments and executive agencies. They are appointed directly by the Secretary of State and are not civil servants. Their role is to:
- give advice to ministers and officials on the operational and delivery implications of policy proposals;
- provide independent support, guidance and challenge on the progress and implementation of the organisation's strategic direction;
- advise on performance and monitor implementation of business plans.
Rommel Moseley has spent over 20 years negotiating and delivering complex mutually beneficial partnerships with companies, governments and NGOs. He is currently Executive Director of Croda Foundation, the philanthropic arm of FTSE 100 specialty chemicals company Croda International Plc.
Nick Campsie is an economist and investor who has held senior positions in the asset management industry, including a decade as a Partner of Eton Park Capital Management. He was previously an Associate Director at Terra Firma Capital Partners, and an Associate at McKinsey and Company.
