The City of Hobart will finalise the removal of the William Crowther statue from Franklin Square today.

The remaining piece of the statue will be carefully removed and restored to the main portion of the statue as per the Hobart City Council decision and in line with the Heritage Council of Tasmania's permit requirements.

Temporary signage will soon be displayed in Franklin Square explaining the removal process, while work on a permanent interpretive element – the final stage of the Crowther Reinterpreted project – will be commissioned and erected, subject to planning approval.
