Hobart commuters are being urged to ditch the car and give pedal power a go on Wednesday morning by joining this year's National Ride2Work Day event.
Ride2Work Day is Australia's biggest celebration of commuter riding and Hobart participants will be rewarded with a free breakfast between 7.30 and 9 am on the waterfront this Wednesday, 16 October.
The event is run by Bicycle Network and sponsored by the City of Hobart.

Quotes attributable to Hobart Mobility Chair Councillor Ryan Posselt:
"This year's Super Tuesday commuter count showed bike riding numbers in Hobart have recovered to pre-COVID levels.
"The count also showed how e-bikes are super charging Hobart's cycling scene, with female riders embracing e-bikes and almost a quarter of commuters counted using e-bikes.
"Clearly there is a growing appetite for safer bike riding options and we are meeting that demand with new separated cycleways rolled out along Campbell Street earlier this year and more safer cycling projects in the pipeline."
Quotes attributable to Alison Hetherington, Bicycle Network's Tasmanian spokesperson:
"Riding to work can feel daunting at first, but once you do it a couple of times it's so easy that you'll wonder what took you so long," Ms Hetherington said.
"It will save you money on parking and petrol and is a simple way to fit physical activity into your day.
"If you have an e-bike it's even easier as you won't work up so much of a sweat and can carry more.
