Holtze Infrastructure Contract Awarded

NT Government

A $19.4 million contract has been awarded to AKJ Services Pty Ltd for the first stage of enabling infrastructure works in the Holtze Development Area.

This infrastructure will support the Holtze Land Release - a new urban, entry level residential subdivision.

Minister for Lands, Planning and Environment Josh Burgoyne said the Northern Territory Government was making the land ready for development by building district level infrastructure, such as widening and extending roads, water and sewer mains and electrical feeders.

"The CLP Government is focused on rebuilding the Territory's reputation as a great place to live, work and invest," he said.

"Making more land available for housing is important to keeping Territorians here and attracting new families and essential workers to the Territory.

"Our housing plan, which includes the CLP Government's HomeGrown Territory housing incentives, are a big part of rebuilding the economy."

Applications open for the HomeGrown Territory housing incentives next Tuesday, 1 October.

The HomeGrown Territory program includes a $50,000 HomeGrown Territory Grant for first home buyers to purchase or build a new home, or $10,000 to purchase an established home.

In a first for the Territory, the program also includes a Fresh Start New Home Grant of $30,000 for non-first home buyers, who may have already owned a property before, to purchase or build a new home.

Enabling infrastructure for the Holtze Land Release will be delivered in two main stages (Part A and Part B).

Part A works include construction of enabling infrastructure comprising sewerage, water supply, power, communications, roads, drainage and landscaping.

Part B works include construction of additional enabling infrastructure comprising sewerage, water supply, power, communications, roads, drainage and landscaping. These works are currently in design, and construction works are expected to commence in mid-2025 following a tender process.
