Home Burglary Charges - Southern Suburbs

Detectives from the Gang Crime Squad have charged two members of the Mongrel Mob criminal street gang in relation to a home burglary which occurred in the southern suburbs on Sunday 21 July 2024.

It will be alleged about 11:30pm, two men forced entry to a home. Once inside, it will be further alleged one of the men assaulted a female occupant, causing minor injuries.

It will be further alleged the men stole several property items, including mobiles phones and an iPad, before they stole a vehicle from the residence.

A short time later Rockingham Police stopped the stolen vehicle and the two men, aged 38 and 29, were arrested without incident.

Both men have been charged by Gang Crime Squad detectives with:

- Aggravated home burglary and commit

- 2 x Stealing

- Steal Motor Vehicle

- Displayed insignia of an identified organisation in a public place

The 38-year-old man has also been charged with 'Common Assault'.

Both men were refused bail and appeared in Rockingham Magistrates Court on Tuesday 23 July 2024, and are next due to appear in the same court on Monday 5 August 2024.
