Police have commenced an investigation following an alleged home invasion in Sydney's south west.
About 10.40pm yesterday (Monday 3 June 2024), emergency services were called to Lintina Street, Tahmoor, following reports gun shots had been heard.
On arrival, officers attached to Camden Police Area Command were told three men had forced entry into a home and assaulted an 18-year-old man, before leaving on foot toward Mitchell Street.
Police believe shots were also fired at the time; however, there have been no reports of injuries as a result of the shots.
The 18-year-old was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Campbelltown Hospital in a stable condition.
Two other occupants of the home – an 18-year-old woman and an infant child – were not injured.
Police have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
